Marieholm Boats (SWE)

Mariehom Bruk (Mill), was originally a manufacturer of agricultural machinery. After a change of ownership in the late 1940's, it became a builder of small fiberglass power boats. The first sailboat was the INTERNATIONAL FOLKBOAT in 1967. As a business, it ceased operations in 1986. At this time, Marieholm brand (as applying to pleasure craft)was sold to a Dutch builder. The original Marieholm factory in Smaland, has been restored as a venue for concerts and various civic events.
